Students depart after receiving recognition from the tribal council in Spring, 2015. The Nation’s students who reside in 5 separate residential areas in Verde Valley attend public schools and private charter schools located in the area. Then, there are college/university students who attend various institution across the country. One of the unique programs offered through the Nation’s educational program is the Johnson O’Malley Program (JOM), a federally funded program which provides tutoring and students services during the regular school hours. JOM’s personnel are hired through the Nation’s employment office and are heavily screened to work with children.
Johnson O’Malley coordinator is Cindy Eaton whose office is located at the Camp Verde Middle School and can be reached during regular school hours.
